The Council for World Mission is a partnership of churches in mission, enabling and equipping the church with ideas and resources to engage in mission in the places we are set. We are pleased to have been able to work with partners from the United Reformed Church and the Protestant Church in the Netherlands in bringing together these resources to help local congregations reflect on the experiences of human trafficking and how we might work to highlight and end this modern form of slavery. In particular we express our appreciation to Revd Dr Michael Jagessar, Revd Fleur Houston and Mrs Geesje Werkman for their contributions to this resource and the passion they show in pursuing justice.
Many CWM churches work in a context where life in community is fragile, they witness to Christ at the margins of society in a post-modern context. The European Region works to enable member churches to develop missional congregations through mutual accompaniment and resourcing the member churches in mission through CWM’s programmes and initiatives.
